MicroForests is looking for a Social Outreach Intern to join our social enterprise. This is a great opportunity for students and recent graduates seeking a career in Non-profit organization, marketing, advertising, business, sales, or events planning. The intern will help us reach our customers, help us gain funding, and will learn about Social Enterprises in Hong Kong!
The Intern will assist our team on various projects and tasks to gain experience in a social enterprise setting. He/She will work on a wide variety of projects including Social Media updates, drafting grant proposals, advertising, and general daily tasks around the office. Hours are flexible with a minimum of one full working day a week Monday-Friday. This position is available starting in September, and the end date/holiday schedule is flexible. The Intern will work primarily in our Shek Kip Mei workshop.
Projects / Learning Outcomes:
The Intern will be supervised and receive training by members of our team. He/She will learn about the mission of our social enterprise as well as professional writing and social media advertising. The intern will be doing many tasks for our Social Enterprise and will gain experiential knowledge in many different fields that can be a great addition to his/her CV.
This is a great opportunity for students and recent grads who would like to enhance their skills in communications, marketing, and writing in a casual environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- English and Chinese speaking and writing
- Strong Communication skills
- Passion for supporting local communities
- Knowledge of Photoshop and design preferred
Education Level: Tertiary
Location: Shek Kip Mei
Salary Level: Salary negotiable
